Psalm 8

1 O LORD, our Lord,
How excellent is Your name in all the earth,
Who have set Your glory above the heavens!

2 Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants
You have ordained strength,
Because of Your enemies,
That You may silence the enemy and the avenger.

Last night I had dinner with both my host pastors for this NY preaching tour and their families. Our time was as refreshing to me as Spring rains are to early budding flowers... Suddenly while waiting for dinner to be served the youngest present a 2yr old, idyllic, little, female, cherub named Lianna...said to me you are sooo special to us!

Methinks her voice was used by the Ancient of Days. The God of the Universe, the Strength of Israel, the Alpha and Omega was speaking to my soul.

Our God often does exactly what is written in verse 2 above. I heard Him, I ran toward and GRABBED HIS voice. I WILL CHERISH THAT SACRED WHISPER, I WILL RUN IN IT. I MUST! Moreover I relish the truth that this was not the reception of vigor without purpose, no, heavens no, the strength revealed in the text has reason to it. Divine reason, namely it is infused into our beings, spirit, soul and even body that we may SILENCE our vicious enemy the devil.
